Just a few blocks north of the 'Aura at College Park', featured in my first article focusing on the condo trend towards height, 'One Bloor Condominiums' is about to make its own mark on the Toronto skyline.
Located at 1 Bloor Street East in Toronto, this new condo project was a collaborative project of some of Canada’s most recognized names and is award winning developer Great Gulf’s flagship condominium.
The immense project is the result of the combined efforts of architecture firm Hariri Pontarini Architects, interior design firm Cecconi Simone, landscape architecture firm Janet Rosenberg + Associates, branding and marketing experts L.A. Inc. and Baker Real Estate Inc.
The entirely Canadian project team (yes, even L.A. Inc.) collaborated on the structure described as “a simple, contemporary high rise building with the aesthetic and purity of modernism.”
One Bloor will be a staggering 75-storey building, almost matching the record setting 78-storey Aura.
The $450 million project will offer 732 residential suites, in addition to three levels comprised of 100,000 square feet of retail space. Above the retail levels, the 7-storey podium further incorporates residential terraces and spa-inspired amenities.
The suites themselves will be fitted with the buyer’s choice of “silver”, “gold” or “platinum” finishes. Incorporated in these are custom cabinetry designed by Cecconi Simone and solar screen window coverings.
Occupancy is estimated for December 2014, and you could be moving in if you’re willing to dish out a cool $511,990 to 1.7 million.
