Save the Date Vancouver! To kick off their Fall 2016 Session, Modern Architecture Home Tours visits Vancouver, BC to seek out and explore the most unique modern residential spaces in the area!
MADS - founded in 1998 by James Leasure - is curated by lovers of all things modern - design, architecture, and living. Their mission statement is to provide a forum for members of the architecture design and lifestyle community to share ideas, propose innovation and uncover the hidden gems of their favorite cities in the US and abroad - and the Metro Vancouver Area has been chosen to begin their Fall tour series!
While Vancouver has received international attention in recent years due to it's skyrocketing property prices and world-class luxury real estate market, which undoubtedly played a role in attracting MADS Home Tours to British Columbia, we'd wager it's the city's public commitment to sustainable living and its growing collection of stunning contemporary architecture that sealed the deal. And with 13,000 people gathering each year for MADS tours, come September, the spotlight on Vancouver is bound to get even brighter!
Presented in partnership with Western Living Magazine, MADS Home Tours will be conducting fun and informative tours of the city's most exciting examples of modern architecture and design, as well as carefully cultivating introductions to the people, places and things that define 'modern'. Not only will attendees learn about the cutting edge of home design while on our tours, but they might even get an idea or two for their next home project!

In the words of Mr. Leasure, 'modern' is "more than just an aesthetic; [it] embodies new techniques and materials, and new ways of addressing old problems. 'Modern' is not just what you live in, but how you live. From attainability to sustainability, the singular thread that connects 'modern' is an outlook that embraces new possibilities in living and lifestyle.”
If you have an innovative, unpublished and noteworthy modern project or event you'd like MADS to feature on their website or social media, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your submission (or for more details).
